 LUZCHEM RESEARCH INC. has patented a turn-key miniaturized laser flash photolysis system that makes complex electronics, cumbersome software and large optical benches a thing of the past. The LFP system incorporates everything needed except the excitation laser. This is a simple, yet powerful instrument, ready to perform a wide range of time resolved kinetic and spectroscopic measurements involving transient absorption or diffuse reflectance. The LFP system, including the monochromator, is completely computer controlled, making it easy to obtain kinetic and spectral data.

7.- Standard Sample Holder:
For ambient temperature studies. Holds 10 x 10 mm cells and with adapter (optional) 7 x 7 mm cells and for Q-tubes.
2.- Temperature monitor:
A sensor monitors and records (but does not control) the temperature in the sample compartment.
8.- Light Source:
The monitoring beam is supplied by a ceramic xenon lamp and delivered through fiber optic cables.
3.-Time response and time scales:

9.- Triggering:
The laser pulse is probed by a fiber that synchronizes the LFP system with the digitizer operating in the pre-trigger mode. The LFP-111 supplies +5 V trigger pulses for standard lasers, including two pulse sequences for YAG lasers requiring independent trigger for flash lamps and Q-switch, which can operate at different frequencies if required.
4.- Computer interfacing:
The LFP-111 and digitizer are connected to the computer via GPIB and serial interfaces (supplied) that control all experimental parameters.
5.- Spectral Range:
Variable depending on photomultiplier and grating selected by customer. With recommended PMT and grating: 200-750 nm. NIR option: up to 200-900 nm

6.- Computer and software:
The system is supplied with a computer operating under Windows and all the necessary interfaces. The software package has been developed in the LabVIEW environment from National Instruments and compiled as a stand-alone application.

Model LFP-111

It includes a ceramic xenon light source; 125 mm monochromator; Tektronix digitizer TDS-3000 series with 300 MHz bandwidth; compact photomultiplier and power supply, computer with monitor, cell holder and fiber optic connectors, temperature monitor, fiber optic sensor for laser-sensing pre-trigger signal, computer interfaces and the software needed to operate the system.
Model LFP-212
Laser photolysis transient absorption spectrometer for spectroscopic and kinetic laser flash photolysis measurements. It includes a ceramic xenon light source; 125 mm monochromator; Tektronix digitizer TDS-2000 series with 100 MHz bandwidth; compact photomultiplier and power supply, Computer with monitor, cell holder and fiber optic connectors, fiber optic sensor for laser-sensing pre-trigger signal, USB computer interface and the software needed to operate the system.

Dual Capability: laser photolysis transient absorption and diffuse reflectance spectrometer for spectroscopic and kinetic laser flash photolysis measurements. It includes; two ceramic xenon light sources and one of each of the following:125 mm monochromator; Tektronix digitizer TDS-2000 series with 100 MHz bandwidth; compact photomultiplier and power supply, Computer with monitor, cell holder and fiber optic connectors, fiber optic sensor for laser-sensing pre-trigger signal, computer interfaces and the software needed to operate the system. Incorporates separate sample holder and monitoring beam systems for absorption and reflectance measurements.
